The Piccini family has been in the lapidary business for many
generations.
PICCINI MARMI SRL was established in1994
and has evolved naturally from Stefano Piccini e C
snc, a company was formed in the early eighties originating
from an old family business.
In the first half of the nineties other firms joint PICCINI
MARMI: MBC Escavazione Marmi srl,
Ecsel Industria Marmi e Graniti spa, Piccini
Trasporti snc.
PICCINI MARMI can certainly be considered
as one of the most active of the small and dynamic companies
in the history of Carrara marble and can still today, despite
all, be regarded as Italy's and Carrara's epicentre of the
decorative stone market.
PICCINI MARMI imports rare and valuable
marble directly from Portugal, Spain, India, Brazil and China;
to name a few. PICCINI MARMI selects and
markets almost all types of marbles mined in the various marble
quarries of the Apuanian Alps.
The
stone material arriving in blocks, slabs and other forms arrives
in our yard in via Ilice in Carrara, where it is sorted out
and resold, either locally or abroad.
PICCINI
MARMI has added another activity to the trade of
raw material: that is the working and selling of finished
stone products. Not only slabs of various thicknesses, tiles
and pieces milled to specific requirements, but also particularly
designed finished products.
Using
modern technology, specific competence and proficiency,
PICCINI MARMI is able to satisfy the most
exigent requests in the decorative stone sector.
On
more than one occasion it has been possible to select a
type of stone or simply apply a particular surface finish
to obtain an original and stupendous final result of the
product, meeting the taste and expectations of the client.
